Acel Power is seeking a dynamic Corporate Development Director and be at the forefront of driving strategic growth and shaping the future of our company. As a key leader, you will spearhead investment activities, identify strategic partnerships, and assess M&A opportunities to propel our business forward. With your expertise in financial analysis, market research, and deal execution, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our expansion strategy and maximizing our competitive advantage. - Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research, industry analysis, and competitive intelligence to identify emerging trends, market opportunities, and potential threats. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on market analysis.
- Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A): Identify, evaluate, and execute potential M&A opportunities that align with the company's strategic objectives. This includes conducting due diligence, financial analysis, and negotiations with potential targets.
- Strategic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborations that can enhance the company's market position, expand its customer base, or leverage complementary technologies or expertise.
- Financial Modeling and Analysis: Develop financial models, perform valuation analyses, and assess the financial impact of potential transactions. Evaluate financial viability, return on investment, and potential synergies for proposed strategic initiatives.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with external parties, including investment banks, venture capital firms, potential partners, and industry experts. Attend industry conferences, and networking events, and build a strong professional network.
- Investments and Divestitures: Assess investment opportunities, including venture capital investments, equity stakes, or divestitures. Conduct financial analysis and due diligence to determine potential returns and risks associated with investment decisions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams such as finance, legal, operations, and business development to ensure alignment and coordination on strategic initiatives. Provide support and guidance to business units throughout the deal process.
About You
- Experience: Significant experience (typically 8-10+ years) in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or a related field. Previous experience in executing investment transactions is highly desirable.
- Leadership and Decision-Making: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams and make informed and timely decisions. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Financial Acumen: Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, including proficiency in financial valuation methods, due diligence, and deal structuring. In-depth knowledge of corporate finance principles and ability to assess the financial implications of strategic decisions.
- Business and Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the company's industry, competitive landscape, and market dynamics. Familiarity with emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory environments relevant to the organization
- Relationship Management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and negotiate effectively with external partners. Ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think strategically, identify growth opportunities, and develop actionable plans to achieve corporate objectives. Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics and industry trends.
