Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and analytical Analyst with a strong background in building business cases, financial models, buy vs. build analysis, and product feature analysis within the satellite communications industry. The Analyst will be a vital contributor to our sales team, providing insightful analysis and strategic recommendations to support customer engagement and drive successful outcomes in the satellite communications market.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Case Development:
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and objectives, and translate them into compelling and data-driven business cases.
- Analyze market trends, regulatory landscapes, and competitive intelligence to create persuasive value propositions that resonate with potential customers.
Financial Modeling:
- Generate revenue forecasts, cost structures, and financial performance metrics to guide pricing strategies and customer negotiations.
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models that assess the financial viability, profitability, and potential return on investment of proposed satellite communications solutions.
Buy vs. Build Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive analyses comparing the costs, benefits, risks, and strategic implications of building satellite communications solutions in-house versus procuring from external vendors.
- Provide strategic guidance on the most suitable approach based on financial and operational considerations.
Product Feature Analysis:
- Evaluate the competitive landscape of satellite communications products and services, assessing feature sets, technical capabilities, and unique selling points.
- Collaborate with product development teams to align feature enhancements with market demand and customer preferences.
Customer Engagement:
- Engage directly with customers to present and discuss complex analyses, demonstrating the value proposition of satellite communications solutions and addressing customer inquiries.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate on go-to-market strategies and product positioning efforts.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, product, and engineering teams to gather relevant data, insights, and market intelligence to inform analysis and recommendations.
Communication and Reporting:
- Prepare and deliver clear and concise presentations, reports, and documentation that effectively communicate complex analysis to internal and external stakeholders.
Industry Expertise:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory developments in the satellite communications domain to provide informed insights.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and analytical tools specific to satellite communications.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, business case development, product analysis, or related roles within the satellite communications industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and directly engaging with customers.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with satellite communications regulations and standards is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of satellite communications technologies, market dynamics, and customer needs.
Salary:
- This position is bonus eligible
- This position is equity eligible
- Base Salary: $130,000 - $160,000
