Who are we hiring?
Based in Burbank, the Sphere Communications team is searching for an experienced professional who will help drive a wide range of communications for Sphere and Sphere Studios.
What will you do?

• Draft press materials including PR plans, press releases, media alerts, pitches, media lists, etc.
• Responsible for the on-going publicity outreach relating to events and special franchises for Las Vegas Sphere venue, including overseeing the development and execution of plans for opening, high profile new shows, major concerts, any facility-related upgrades and enhancements, including some on-site press management and management of local in-market PR agencies, if applicable.
• Support the strategic narrative around Sphere and Sphere Studios technological advancements, including executive visibility and thought leadership, with a focus on earned media reaching audiences critical to Sphere’s success, including Hollywood, music and technology.
• Build, support and deepen existing relationships within the greater Las Vegas community, including with partners.
• Under the supervision of the SVP, Communications, create and execute an aggressive, proactive, creative and quantifiable communications and public relations plan for Sphere in Las Vegas and Sphere Studios in Burbank.

What do you need to succeed?

• Superior organizational, prioritization, and time management skills with the ability to execute multiple, high-priority projects efficiently and effectively with excellent follow through.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to professionalism; excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a high volume of work and work through projects with minimal supervision.
• Minimum of 7-10 years relevant experience with proactive pitching and media interaction, including existing relationships with press across entertainment, music, tech, and/or local Los Angeles and Las Vegas markets.
• Excellent writing, pitching and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to problem solve in an efficient, business-friendly, creative manner.
• Experience working with influencers.
• Willingness to take “ownership” of projects and think proactively.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with people at many different levels both within and outside the company.
• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials
• Press relationships at major publications, trade outlets in the media, entertainment, music and technology industries and broadcast, radio and podcast programs.
• Professional, confident demeanor and superior analytical skills.
