Manager, Corporate Communications Jobs

The Manager, Corporate Communications, will play a key role as part of a cross-functional communications team serving the Company’s corporate-level functions and the senior executive leadership team. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Communications, the manager will work closely with the leaders of the Corporate Communications team on developing communications strategies, campaigns, and tactics to drive the business and reputational goals of the Company.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Providing strategic counsel on internal communications matters and producing content for internal communications channels.
• Conducting research, monitoring news landscape, and identifying potential issues.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and partners, including business units across the enterprise, to strategize and execute communications plans for major initiatives and breaking news events, and providing strategic counsel as appropriate.
• Project managing cross-functional communicators in support of specific enterprise-wide communications efforts.
• Developing external communications plans and messaging, with an emphasis on corporate and financial communications, breaking news, and social media monitoring.
• Crafting stories for the company’s external communications platforms, including the corporate blog, to drive enterprise and business-unit initiatives.
• Developing media strategies, plans and tactics, including drafting press releases, media pitches, fact sheets, messaging documents and executive talking points.
• Overseeing communications activities and logistics for press events.
• Writing print-ready press releases and working with senior communications leaders on media relations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Demonstrated track record in working with senior communications executives and managing sensitive financial and business communications.
• Creativity, diplomacy, and ability to juggle heavy volume of diverse projects, including both strategic and tactical assignments.
• Strong speaking and presentation skills.
• 6 years or more in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field. Communications experience at a Fortune 500 company, preferably supporting corporate-level functions and executives.
• Strong computer and web literacy, including experience with new media technologies, social media, and content management systems.
• Experience working in a fast-paced communications environment, where spotting emerging topics and rapidly responding to news and corporate issues is key.
• Ideal candidate possesses in-house corporate communications experience or agency experience.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information for a multi-business global company in a clear, concise, and highly readable manner.
• Excellent project management and research skills.
• Proven experience developing communication strategies.
• Experience using social and digital platforms for communications goals as well as issues management.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $112,012.00 to $150,260.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
