Developer Experience Associate Jobs

We're a group of Developer Experience ninjas here at Discord, and we're looking for someone who is equally passionate about helping developers make incredible apps, bots, and activities for our users! You’ll use empathy and patience to help developers build for Discord one-on-one, and you’ll help create documentation for the next generation of Discord developers.
Reporting to our Developer Experience Lead, you will directly support our communities and developers, listen to their feedback, and share these insights with other teams to help make the Discord experience the best that it can be. If you're looking for a supportive support team, join us!
What You'll Be Doing

• Translate technical speak and troubleshooting steps that even our grandmother would understand
• Can work collaboratively on solutions, communicate and share these experiences within our team
• Contribute to technical documentation to bolster the growth of Discord as a leading developer platform
• Build and maintain effective internal relationships to help identify, report, and resolve issues quickly
• Identify and provide daily solutions for our developer’s issues with the help of our team

What You Should Have

• Experience with debugging, finding solutions, and a penchant to analyze data
• Working experience with programming languages, particularly JavaScript and Python
• Passion for supporting our users and developers with unwavering patience and empathy
• A cover letter (This is mandatory.) Don't skip this one!
• 1+ years of experience with troubleshooting API, SDK, and/or bot issues preferred
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion

Bonus Points

• Multilingual
• Experience working with and programming for the Discord API or other platform-specific APIs
• Experience with game development, particularly using web tools like Canvas and WebGL
• Familiarity with support ticketing applications and CRM tools (e.g. Zendesk, Freshdesk, Salesforce)

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $77,000 to $83,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
