Opportunities Knock, a creative, practical, and hyper-collaborative learning design and talent development firm, is seeking a strategic, creative, talented, confident, and proactive Content Marketing & Learning Design Specialist to support current talent partner work, document client success to showcase and demonstrate impact to prospects and partners, and grow the business.
5-8 Hrs/Week Beginning August 15: $15/Hr Flexible schedule, with set deadlines. You decide your schedule as long as scheduled meetings are attended and deadlines are met.
Responsibilities
- Input poll data, learner and customer feedback, and design and tell a visual story about the impact and outcomes of training programs, workshops, and learning events in 1-5 page reports, designed in Canva (2/month)
- Design and edit workshop one-pagers to highlight learning objectives, skills to be learned, interactive exercises, and program overviews in Canva. These will be used as marketing materials for prospective talent partners/clients, and to educate clients and prospective clients on the work that Opportunities Knock does
- Update the Opportunities Knock website in Wordpress with new client spotlights, workshop offerings, learner and client testimonials, new podcast interviews, upcoming events and workshops (including book signings), and new downloadable resources (See Career Resource Center)
- Create and edit video clips and “audiogram” clips of podcast episodes to share on Linkedin, Instagram, in email marketing and other marketing channels. Video clips may be used as workshop recaps for learners to catch up on what they missed or reinforce what was learned and to generate excitement and help them prepare for upcoming workshops in a series. These videos may be shared in client Slack channels, on Teams, and in Learning Management Systems.
- Update and edit slide presentations in Canva to match branding/visual theme and effectively communicate learning themes and deliver impactful training programs
Required Skills
- Canva wizard - being able to maximize the use of the platform to design marketing and training materials that are sharp, creative, and deliver clear messaging, visually, and with text (Preferred but not required: experience recording and editing video in Canva)
- Linkedin contributor/super user - If you’re not only consuming content on Linkedin, but have a solid understanding of the capabilities including Advanced Search, and have published a post or article there, this will be a natural fit
- Google Drive - Shared calendars and collaborative editing will be a big part of this position so experience across the Google Drive suite will be key
- Excellent written and verbal communicator, with experience in storytelling - A natural writer with a creative design eye and a strategic mindset (crafting stories for a particular audience and with project goals (Ex: new client acquisition, workshop sign ups, book purchases, communicating value to clients and prospects) always top of mind) will thrive in this role
- Curious and expert research skills - If you don’t know the answer, find out who can help you figure it out, or seek it out yourself. We’ll be experimenting and trying lots of new strategies and technologies together so the skills and drive to problem-solve together will help you succeed
- Minimum 1-3 Years Digital Marketing Experience: Must have experience and be able to demonstrate it, executing marketing plans in alignment with goals (for example awareness, sales, loyalty, thought leadership)
- (Preferred) Experience designing learning programs in Learning Management Systems such as Canvas, or Articulate
If you’re interested in being a part of this growing team that is helping individuals, teams, and organizations build meaningful careers, with your application, include your resume and portfolio or marketing/design/writing samples by August 5th, 2023. In your cover letter, be specific about why this position interests you, share 1-2 opportunities for improvement on the Opportunities Knock website and how you can help, and what you’re most excited to work on/how this position will help you build/grow your meaningful career.
