Osaic is revamping its client content experience by moving content from existing client portals to a new and more robust platform. To assist with this effort, the firm is seeking a content consultant to assist with this effort. The ideal candidate will have the skills to prioritize multiple tasks, partner with subject matter experts, consult on best practices for content development, and pay close attention to detail while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
This contract position will be up to 40 hours per week for a maximum of six months, and hours and duration will be dependent on the firm's workload and needs.
Responsibilities:
- Refine content provided by subject matter experts to ensure it is aligned to project standards and needs.
- Work with the project team to set deadlines for each department, communicate the deadlines, and then stay on top of them to ensure timely delivery of information.
- Work with subject matter experts throughout the firm to understand what content needs to be placed on the new portal to effectively represent their department, provide client-focused resources, and demonstrate the value their area adds to our clients’ businesses.
- Understand the existing content set for our clients and effectively cascade modifications to existing content while the new platforms are being established.
- Assist with the PDF conversion process as the project team works to move systems and update PDFs based on relevant firm changes. This includes annotating documents, copyediting, working with the Creative Team to reflect the updates, and ultimately placing them on the portal.
- Make recommendations for how to merge content blocks into templated portal sections.
- Following the launch of the portal, stay connected to subject matter experts through regular touch points to ensure content is frequently reviewed and updated to reflect changes in our business environment.
- Serve as a liaison between the subject matter expert and multiple departments, including copyeditors, developers, and program managers.
- Review content provided by subject matter experts and consult with them to ensure the depth and focus of the content is appropriate.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or another related field – relevant experience considered in lieu of a degree in these areas
Basic Requirements:
- Strong organization, time management and productivity skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Superior proofreading and editing skills, including ability to rewrite content to make it appropriate for the audience and voice /author
- Strong verbal and writing skills
- Superior writing and editing skills, including ability to research and synthesize information into content that meets the target audience's needs
- 3+ years of previous experience in corporate writing, communications, or another related role
