The Sr. Director of Learning and Enablement is responsible for leading the design and development of high impact learning and development programs for all Forcepoint, as well as establishing leading organization development practices/models and strategies to help the company achieve its growth goals.
The lead for Learning and Enablement assesses company-wide developmental needs in support of our product portfolio. This role is expected to identify, create, build, and drive training initiatives to arrange suitable training solutions for customers, partners, and employees. This position actively collaborates with Sales, Channel, Product and Customer Success leaders to understand their needs related to training and development by proactively interfacing with key stakeholders to understand, recommend and deploy effective solutions.
This role dynamically searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance. In addition, this position evaluates effectiveness through performance metrics. Ensures alignment with strategic business objectives and maintains high quality standards in instructional design and development for all methods of program delivery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and analyses to define performance, skill and knowledge gaps and recommend training and development to drive individual and company-wide capability and performance improvement
- Make sure all aspects of development and delivery are connected, high-impact and meet the needs of a diverse range of users
- Lead and scale the team to drive the best learning strategy, as well as to build out methodologies and tools
- Maintain strong relationships with Sales, Channel, Product, and post-sales teams to ensure alignment of organizational activities and directions
- Design and develop programs and curriculum, partner with internal subject matter experts and/or external vendors to achieve defined training, learning and development objectives
- Ensure that programs created align with the organization's strategic priorities
- Identify different types of trainings or certification offerings globally
- Utilize metrics to validate knowledge transfer and return on investment
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for training and development programs
- Establish and maintain individual and organizational performance evaluation methods for training content, delivery, activities, engagement, and outcomes
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of a comprehensive training strategy ensuring strategic alignment of training and development with business goals
- Develop, maintain, and deliver world-class learning portfolio and learning paths built to serve sales personnel, as well as highly technical employees and partners from a range of personas.
- Recommend and develop employee engagement programs and activities that enhance employment experience
- Identify training needs, recommending, and implementing solutions, and evaluating and measuring effectiveness
Requirements
- In-depth understanding of best practices in learning strategy development and execution
- Proven experience with curriculum development and delivery methodologies and best practices
- 15+ years of experience designing and leading L&D programs at scale, preferably in high-growth corporate environments
- Ability to understand macro market in which company operates and distill insight into operational L&D tactics.
- Proven ability to use a consultative approach and persuasive communication with stakeholders
- Experience working a high-tech environment with capability to build a business case, resource plan, and budget
- Experience leading Learning and Development at a technology company, ideally with data security, cloud, and/or subscription business modeling. Learning experiences will include hands-on labs.
- Demonstrate alignment to Forcepoint’s company values, along with the capability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent communications and senior leader engagement experience
- Ability to in a fast-paced, high-growth work environment
- Ability to work in and manage ambiguity, including dealing effectively with issues that do not always have a process, system, or solution in place
- Demonstrate commitment to growing and developing teams globally
- Ability to prioritize initiatives based on the evolving L&D needs of the company, making consistently strategic recommendations to executive leadership
