Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a remote Marketing & Content Specialist to join the Pass & Seymour Syracuse Team.

What Will You Do?

Role: The Pass & Seymour business is seeking a Marketing & Content Specialist who can support and assist all marketing communications that increase the company's visibility, facilitate product launches, manage web content, and write, edit and/or proofread content to be used in product marketing communications. This role will collaborate with marketing leadership, product management, and centralized marketing team to deliver effective marketing communications. Ultimately, you will deliver high-quality writing that appeals to our audiences, attracts customers, and boosts brand awareness. This is a virtual/remote role with intermittent travel up to 15% as required.

Main Job Duties

• Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content; recommend and execute new topics.
• Perform other similar and related duties as required.
• Optimize all website content to improve CX, SEO, and content performance. Conduct keyword research and work with SEO specialists to increase web traffic.
• Collaborate with marketing communications managers and product managers to gather subject matter expertise and help manage marketing communications projects that support the execution of product launches and campaigns.
• Creates persuasive headlines, copy, and calls-to-action for marketing campaigns across print and digital mediums.
• Work closely with the product team to develop compelling, end-user focused copy about products across multiple brands. Writes and edits website/blog content, product brochures, flyers, sell sheets, social media, press releases, and internal and external email communications.

Education

Qualifications

• B.A. in communications, public relations, journalism or related field or evidence of related experience.

Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in marketing communications, specifically copywriting or content development.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Writing sample will be required in interview process.
• Strong understanding of Marketing and (SEO) content and site optimization; SEO Certification preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and reprioritize in a dynamic environment and to work effectively in a team to meet deadlines.
• Portfolio of writing samples and published work.
• Preferred experience using Google Analytics and other in-house tools to measure the effectiveness of content.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn technical products.
• Excellent writing, editing and verbal communications skills.
