Under direct supervision of the clinic practitioner the Medical Assistant performs technical, patient care and related clerical functions in the clinic setting. Promotes a favorable image of the clinic and hospital by being professional, courteous and helpful at all times.

Works 36 hours per week. Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00am - 5:00pm. This position would consist of both clinical and clerical/patient access responsibilities.

Wage commensurate with experience.

Educational Experience Required:

• Current BLS certification required.
• Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and public is required
• Knowledge of medical records documentation requirements
• Must have extensive computer experience
• Completion of recognized Medical Assistant program required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred
• Limited radiography certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Knowledge of routine oral, rectal and injectable medications.
• Must speak, hear and understand the English language
• Certification as a CMA (AAMA) preferred.
• Basic medical terminology required
• Knowledge of medical instruments and supplies.
