Medical Assistant Non-Certified - Ambulatory F/T Day

• Records patient data prior to office visits including but not limited to vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication

changes. Attention to research / protocol specific detail regarding documentation of patient medications and

procedures. 20%

• Responsible for phlebotomy, specimen handling and processing of multiple protocol specific laboratory kits and

pharmacokinetic specimens including blood, sputum, stool and oral/nasal. 25%

• Assists with exams and procedures such as bone marrow biopsy and paracentesis. Performs EKGs as

appropriate. 15%

• Maintains and operates all laboratory equipment. 15%

• Maintains proper documentation as described by regulatory protocols including test report logs, equipment records

and checklists. 5%

• Participates in and supports all site auditing and monitoring visits. Maintains protocol regulatory documents in

compliance with SOPs. 5%

• Triages patient phone calls as needed, manages patient medication refill requests and documents information

appropriately in the patient's medical record. 5%

• Performs other administrative duties as needed such as typing, filing, faxing and radiology/pathology requests and

logs. Maintains knowledge of reimbursement procedures. Assures research related charges are completed and

accurate. 5%

• Actively participates in protocol initiations and study specific educational programs. Communicates and

collaborates on an ongoing basis with central operations and data management. 5%
