RedSeal is a leading provider of cyber security solutions that empower organizations to better understand and manage their network infrastructure. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Leader who can serve as both a player and coach to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our cyber security solutions through proactive business development strategies and effectively leading a team of business development professionals.
Responsibilities
Player Role:
  • Generate new business opportunities by actively prospecting and pitching RedSeal's cyber security solutions to potential clients.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of RedSeal's product portfolio, staying up-to-date with the latest features, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and customer success, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and solution presentations to clearly articulate the value proposition of RedSeal's products.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads, tracking progress and nurturing relationships through the marketing and sales process.
Coach Role
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, offer constructive feedback, and implement development plans to maximize the team's potential.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of sales development professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and helping them achieve their individual and team targets.
  • Manage the sales process, adherence and reporting through marketing and sales technologies including HubSpot and Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address any gaps in resources, training, or support needed for the sales team's success.
  • Mentor and train team members on effective sales techniques, objection handling, and product knowledge to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Requirements
Proven Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, preferably in the cyber security industry, with a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to develop inside sales best methodologies and incorporate best practices.
  • Strong understanding of network security, risk management, and vulnerability assessment concepts.
  • Experience selling complex B2B software solutions to enterprise-level clients.
  • Proven track record of inside sales experience including dialing dozens of calls per day and over-achieving quota.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performing business development teams.
Technical Aptitude
  • Experience working with CRM tools and digital sales tools for efficient outbound prospecting including HubSpot, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn,
  • Ability to effectively communicate the technical aspects of RedSeal's solutions and their value to prospects and clients.
  • Familiarity with cyber security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, network infrastructure, and related tools.
Leadership Skills
  • Responsible for all decisions regarding hiring, on-boarding, people, process, performance management for business development team.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop actionable plans for revenue growth.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership and coaching abilities, with a passion for developing and motivating sales teams.
