POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President of Multifamily Asset Management will lead a team of highly talented asset management professionals who are collectively responsible for driving financial underwriting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting and revenue management for the company’s 8,868-unit multifamily portfolio. In addition, the Vice President of Multifamily Asset Management will partner with leaders in other departments including acquisitions, operations, marketing, construction, finance, accounting, and IT to collaboratively drive operational improvement across the portfolio.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage the financial budgeting and forecasting process to provide accurate insights on trends in financial performance compared to internal and market expectations.
· Oversee the revenue management process with a focus on using business intelligence and consumer insights to optimize revenue growth.
· Actively participate in the underwriting and due diligence process for new acquisitions and assist on the strategic analysis and execution of any asset dispositions.
· Develop key performance indicators, asset benchmarking and other data analytics to identify insights on areas for operational improvement and strategic value creation opportunities.
· Lead the development of the asset positioning and renovation strategy for the current pipeline of available units and monitor returns on investment.
· Support finance and investor relations with asset and portfolio analysis to explain historical and projected performance to investors and lenders.
· Monitor industry trends and work collaboratively with leaders in other departments to drive innovation and operational upside across the portfolio.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· 7+ years of experience in multifamily asset management, investments, or finance.
· Knowledge of multifamily operations and financial reporting; preference for pricing / revenue management experience.
· Undergraduate degree required; MBA preferred.
· Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams.
