BLACE is seeking a Director of Operations who can drive the operational success of BLACE during a rapid growth stage, setting and achieving success against business goals and objectives forward while creating, tightening and optimizing existing SOPs. The Director will help us establish and execute business, management and operational KPI’s and manage those KPI’s towards maximized success.
The right candidate will dive in and immediately become a core member of this lean, passionate, and fast-moving team driving impact and simultaneously launching systems, measurements and practices that put business objectives, goals and success front and center setting a foundation for scale, revenue growth, accountability and results-driven success.
BLACE provides compensation commensurate with experience that is a combination of a strong base salary with benefits, and equity.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Track performance against all business goals and objectives with key wins, losses and opportunities clearly communicated and made actionable
  • Confirm and maintain operational systems, structure and practices that promote company culture, vision and brand standards
  • Establish KPI’s for all direct reports and support their accountability approach and tactical report-out
  • Prepare and present key performance reports to the executive team
  • Oversee HR and Business Operations partners, vendors, systems and technology tools – optimizing each relationship and system for the best business outputs
  • Analyze and interpret data and metrics to create and implement opportunities, programs and solutions for growth
  • Lead a talented team of Production Managers
  • Work closely with leadership to make informed strategic decisions pertaining to expenditures, budgetary planning and forecasting
  • Monitor third party partners to ensure they are maintaining quality service at competitive rates
  • Review, enhance and deploy KPI’s for the business, ensuring that internal and external processes are in place to meet them
  • Assisting in negotiating partnerships with key Vendors and Landlords
  • Evaluate all systems of current operational management and initiate proposed revised strategy, best practices and SOP – optimizing as the business grows and key learnings are achieved
Requirements
  • Experience in coaching a team to improve results and KPI’s
  • 3+ years managing multiple people in a team format
  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with a strong proficiency in creating, optimizing and ultimately improving business results and KPI’s
  • The ability to think big, delivering innovative strategic solutions
  • Experience interacting with and influencing senior leadership
  • Clear, concise communication style and comfort working with a diverse group of people across multiple disciplines and skillset levels
  • 7+ years of experience as a lead in consulting, business operations or sales operations
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to set and hit aggressive project deadlines
  • A problem-solving mentality, both analytical and creative problem solving
  • Experience managing a tight budget, and optimizing that budget for peak performance
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high growth, startup environment
  • Experience with the NYC real estate industry and/or scaling a technology-focused company is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited university or organization
  • Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills
