Job Title: Associate Designer, DPC (Accessories)
About Digital Product Creation
At Tapestry, we are revolutionizing the Design to Consumer process by unlocking new digitally driven opportunities through innovative DPC solutions. The Tapestry Digital Product Creation team is growing our capabilities to create compelling digital assets and 3D prototypes that support a sustainable, global, co-create process. We are intersecting digital with physical to support our Tapestry house of brands across all product categories & use cases.
DPC is a team of creatives who are highly skilled, organized and savvy with a breadth of 3D tools and technologies, they are excellent problem solvers & collaborators who are passionate about all things digital.
Primary Purpose: We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed, and enthusiastic Associate Designer to join our Tapestry Digital Product Creation team. The ideal candidate would be well-versed in 3D, with a strong background in 3D modeling, lighting, UV wrapping, rendering and can demonstrate an ability to create photo-realistic assets that capture design’s intent. This position requires digital expertise, and acute attention to detail. The ability to manage multiple projects, communicate with your manager and collaborate with other team members is critical. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working in a variety of 3D and 2D applications, skilled at collaborating, problem-solving, and outside of the box thinking that raises the bar on digital product creation.

  • Acts as a catalyst for innovation and the use of digital technologies.
  • Models 3D assets, with a focus on accessories & leathergoods.
  • Able to find relevant solutions for problems.
  • Collaborates effectively with internal and external team members and vendors.
  • Maintain DPC digital assets, material, and color libraries.
  • Accurately translates design cards into 3D models that reflect Design’s intent.
  • Will support the Manager DPC RTW & Accessories in developing 3D assets and processes.
  • Meets production deadlines and ensures quality control is always achieved.
  • Drives the DPC process through standards, education, and best practices.
  • Remains current on new and emerging technologies and processes
  • Manages multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and navigate ambiguity with flexibility and continuous improvement.

  • Excellent skills in Modo, Maya, or 3Ds Max (or any relevant 3D software).
  • Degree in a DPC related field (Apparel, Design, Product Development, Technology, Engineering).
  • Knowledge of physically based rendering.
  • Exceptional communication skills and able to work within a team.
  • 1-3 years of modeling and visualization proficiency in a professional or classroom setting.
Software Required
  • Zbrush (or any relevant 3D Sculpting software), a plus
  • Maya, or 3Ds Max (or any relevant 3D software) required.
  • Modo experience preferred.
  • Rhino modeling, a plus
  • Substance Suite (Design, Painter, Sampler), a plus
  • Clo3D simulation, a plus
  • Adobe Creative Suite required.
