Description
Concordia is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that builds meaningful partnerships for social impact. As equal parts convener, campaigner, and idea incubator, Concordia facilitates cross-sector collaboration to create a more prosperous and sustainable world. Concordia Summits convene thousands of the world's most prominent business, government, and nonprofit leaders. Past speakers have included Jennifer Lawrence, Bill Clinton, Joe Biden, Ivanka Trump, Tony Blair, Christine Lagarde, George W. Bush, Elaine Chao, Gregory Hayes, and Yo-Yo Ma.
The Communications Department is responsible for strategizing, shaping, and implementing all aspects of communications. Establishing Concordia's “voice,” the Communications Department ensures that messaging is consistent, compelling, and impactful while elevating the organization's mission and work. Working closely with the Partnerships, Programming, and Executive Office departments, the Communications Department creates all external-facing materials, including the website, reports, membership decks, articles/blogs, and email campaigns. The team also oversees all aspects of branding and design, relationships with press and media—including media partnerships—and social media. The team consists of an Associate Director of Communications, a Communications Manager, and a Communications Associate.
Responsibilities:
- Edit existing video clips from previous Concordia Summits to highlight relevant issue areas and trending topics, incorporating subtitles and graphic elements as needed
- Write engaging and effective captions for all social media channels, paying extra attention to the proper spelling of names and the correct tagging of social media handles
- Design compelling graphics and visual storytelling to announce Concordia speakers, events, and initiatives
- Collaborate across teams within Concordia to develop content featuring member and partner/sponsor initiatives
- Manage Concordia's social media calendar, factoring in cultural context and Awareness Days
- Develop short-term social media campaigns focused on driving registration for Concordia’s 2023 & 2024 Summits
- Shoot and edit live video content for publication across platforms
- Collect, analyze, and report on online metrics to identify reach, engagement, and retention that guides and improves digital strategy and direction
- Develop and produce high-impact video and graphic content for all Concordia social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube

You Have:
- Significant experience editing videos for social media
- Demonstrated ability to write engaging social media copy
- Proficiency in using Google Drive, Slack, and Canva. Working knowledge of Adobe software programs is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Interest in politics, world affairs, and current events
- Bachelor's in communications, journalism, social media, communication design, or related field
- Excellent communications skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
- 2+ years working in social media content creation
- Enthusiasm for Concordia’s mission to build cross-sector partnerships for meaningful social impact
