Summary
Metagenics is looking for a Lead Americas Innovation leader to lead our brand strategy with our commercial teams.
Responsibilities
What you’ll do:

• Leverage combination of strong commercial knowledge and financial acumen to maximize our ability to deliver against NPD/EPD pipeline financial commitments.
• Gain alignment, approval, and provide update to leadership and organizational stakeholders.
• Exercise critical thinking to set high performance standards, measure for success, and adjust plan to deliver against NPD/EPD 3-5 year growth agenda.
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
• Perform ongoing analysis of business data, sales information, competitive insights, consumer research, and other meaningful information to shape innovation roadmap.
• Led by Brand Strategy and in collaboration with Product marketing team, own the overall development of go to market commercialization strategy of innovation projects building brand penetration.
• Develop a portfolio strategy that leverages current and future state innovations to achieve long term financial goals and outcomes. Identify where to play and where to win categories for NAM market in partnership with Global Marketing and Global Innovation.
• Establish priorities and direction for future product lines including positioning, packaging, quality standards as it relates to innovation/new product development, line extensions.
• Partner with Finance to lead business case and P&L considerations for Innovation Pipeline.
• Act as a business partner providing strategic direction to cross-functional partners in Product marketing, Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, and Finance including AOP guidance and National Sales Meeting.

Experience / Training / Education

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred
• 8 -10 years’ experience in Marketing, with experience in consumer-packaged goods
• People management experience
• Experience with complex business and P&L management
• Experience to command presence and persuasively and effectively lead senior executive level communication.
• Excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills

Knowledge of

• Understanding of how to develop comprehensive 360 marketing plans and work with integrated teams to achieve holistic in market execution

• Demonstrated ability to define a portfolio vision and strategy and successfully bring the organization along to achieve flawless execution
• Demonstrated ability to tap into cultural, health, and behavioral trends that could present opportunities for the business and understand how to apply them to current or future strategies

• Ability to read and analyze financials, consumer research, and syndicated data and trends, and synthesize data into compelling insights to drive growth, improve ROI and overall help contribute to the thriving health of the business
• Ability to help define, refine and identify consumer insights that will drive brand building and business growth opportunities and communications plans
• Works well with ambiguity and is energized by a high growth, high change environment…and both the good and challenging things that come along with that.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and cultivate collaborative and inclusive relationships and lead cross-functional teams
• Experience driving business transformation needs and doing so in an agile and roll-up your sleeves manner
• Demonstrated ability to build and grow brands, deepen equity ownership and command a leadership position for the business

Physical Requirements/working Conditions

• Lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; lifts 25 pounds occasionally
• Uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment most of the day
• Requires clear vision at 20 inches or less with or without corrective lenses
• Stands and walks to other stations and departments throughout the day
• May stoop or crouch to access files or storage
• Exposed to noise levels typical of office environments
• Business travel 10-20% of the time
• Hearing and speech within normal ranges and sufficient for clear communication face to face and especially via the telephone
• Sits at a computer station, meeting table or work desk for more than two-thirds of each day

Compensation
The current range for this role based out of Aliso Viejo, CA is $160,000 - $177k/yr.
This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
