Head Of Innovation & Product Quality

12 Tides is an ocean-friendly food company based in San Francisco, CA. We source organic kelp from regenerative ocean farms in the US to incorporate it into better-for-you, ocean-friendly foods. Together we are turning the tide on climate change, one kelp chip at a time.

We are looking for a Head of Product Innovation and Quality to design new regenerative ocean foods and ensure that every product leaving our facility is the tastiest it can be.

Compensation: $85k - 100k per year

What you will do in this role:

• Design and prototype new flavors of our existing chips and completely new kelp-based food products based on market research and customer feedback
• Perform quality assurance on daily product to ensure every product is the best quality; troubleshoot any quality issues with the production team
• Work with the manufacturing team to determine the best manufacturing methodology and equipment for new products
• Source ingredients for new flavors and products with a focus on sustainability and quality

What you will bring to the role:

• Passion for great tasting food, sustainability and the oceans
• 3+ years experience in culinary roles, food science, food product development, and/or food manufacturing
