About The Role
Plenty is looking for an Innovation Project Manager to join our Product Management team. The Product Management team is responsible for managing every stage of Farm Products and other technical assets’ lifecycle from development to delivery. In this role, you will be responsible for scoping and cross functional project management of early innovation feasibility projects and opportunities for demonstration research space deployment.
What You'll Do

• Feasibility project ccoping & handoff: Collaborate with Research & Development (R&D) teams (Plant Science, Engineering) to define initial project scopes, timelines, and resourcing requirements for early stage feasibility assessment projects related to current and future farm innovation scopes. You will coordinate identification of POC scopes, create work plans / action item lists for that and ensure that outcomes are reported through pipeline management reporting processes and/or Farm Programs.
• Project Manage opportunities to demonstrate technical transfer of innovation ideas between crops: Ensure any cross-crop trial plans are scoped, documented and made visible through pipeline management process.
• Organize efforts to re-purpose any research equipment for external partners for demonstration or feasibility testing purposes
• Organize cross functional project meetings to ensure timelines and budget for feasibility projects are met: Project management and influence of activities to ensure rapid and efficient evaluation of innovation ideas.
• Define requirements for feasibility success and documentation required for early stage gate success: Collaborate with Innovation Manager to define metrics and or qualitative success criteria for project and handoff plans for projects that progress into the innovation pipeline.

What You'll Bring To The Table

• You thrive at delivering complex products cross functionally in a matrix organization environment
• Knowledge of plant
• Ability to work from our Bay Area, CA office at least once per week
• 2+ years of project management or leadership of cross functional technical projects
• Experience in indoor farming trial planning and execution a plus
• Passion for breaking apart problems and to identify base proof points for success
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering or Science Discipline preferred

Plenty’s target compensation range for this role is $127,100 - $139,800 for this location. Actual compensation is commensurate with experience and alignment with role requirements.
