Job Description
Kikoff is looking for a partnerships lead who has a track record of establishing and fostering strategic relationships in the fintech space and driving stellar acquisition and monetization results from them. You’ll be setting up deals and partnerships that will drive new user growth and revenue growth for Kikoff with partners who are both familiar and unfamiliar with what we do and working with fintechs and creatively ideating new and strategic ways Kikoff can partner with other players serving our same customer.


This role is a full-time, exempt role; remote or hybrid if located in San Francisco.


What you'll do


  • Create a vision for future strategic partnership opportunities for Kikoff, ideate and ruthlessly prioritize new opportunity areas, and serve as a major growth engine for Kikoff
  • Establish new acquisition focused partnerships with other fintechs or traditional finance institutions such as lenders, insurers or even non-profits and the government and then growing and optimizing these partnerships over time
  • Establish referral partnerships to help monetize Kikoff’s users and leads such as with lenders or other fintechs with similar audiences and then growing and optimizing these partnerships over time
  • Explore and establish value add features through partnerships that can lead to meaningful retention improvement, monetization opportunity or cost savings
  • Establish partnerships as a function that can scale with the company
Who you are:


  • Strong analytical skills, structured problem solving, data-driven first-principles thinking, and focus on the business impact of partnerships
  • Strong communicator, writer, salesman, collaborator, and advocator.
  • Experience working in a startup culture preferred
  • Ability to relentlessly pursue relationships and proficiency in tracking and quantifying the progress of a new partnership lead funnel.
  • Master in building business case for new opportunities (e.g. market sizing, competition assessment, needed resource and timeline assessment, go-to-market strategy, etc.)
  • Extensive understanding of the American financial ecosystem, especially within sub-prime and credit scores
  • 7+ years in a business development/partnerships role with experience in finance or fintech.
  • Low ego and a team player
