Accounts Payable Supervisor (Remote Or Hybrid)

As an Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the accounts payable department. You’ll ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and other disbursements. You’ll oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. You’ll also collaborate and liaise with other departments within the organization, as well as with vendors, to resolve issues and ensure timely payment of invoices.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure that all invoices have been properly recorded and paid.
• Ensure that vendor invoices are accurately and timely processed, coded, and approved in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolving issues and ensuring timely payment of invoices.
• Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices, resolving any issues that may arise, and working with vendors to resolve discrepancies.
• Provide regular reports to management on the status of accounts payable, including outstanding payments, aging of payables, and other key metrics.
• Liaise with other departments within the organization, including procurement, accounting, and finance, to ensure that all invoices are processed accurately and timely.
• Manage the disbursement process and ensuring that all disbursements are processed accurately and timely.
• Maintain accurate records of all disbursements, ensuring that they are properly recorded and documented.
• Oversee the accounts payable department and manage a team of accounts payable team.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations governing accounts payable processes.

Qualifications:

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Project management experience is a plus
• At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Base Pay Range for this position:
$78,000.00 - $118,000.00 USD Annual
For remote positions located outside of the US, pay will be determined based the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
