Job Description

The Account Manager, Sensing Solutions for HVAC/R markets is responsible for the development and support of sensor sales through designated Danfoss sales organizations as well as select direct accounts. As an account manager, you will work in close cooperation with the regional sales organizations, global key account teams, application engineers, and the global marketing team to achieve your objectives. The role reports directly to the Regional Sales Director, North America.
Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for growing sensor sales revenue in regional and global key accounts
  • Work with and through Danfoss sales teams and customers to enable thorough understanding of customer applications and needs for Sensing products
  • Maintain and review relevant opportunities in Salesforce – both directly owned & shared
  • Coordinate sales and support activities with application engineers as needed
  • Establish and maintain relationship with other Danfoss sales teams
  • Develop strategic segment pricing, programs, and promotions as needed
  • Facilitate and take a leadership role to ensure seamless coordination between sales and other departments such as product managers, logistics, customer service, and application engineering
  • Manage the sales cycle from opportunity identification to cash generation by prescribing and quoting Sensing products (product guidance, selection, & technical support) and aid in developing value propositions for customers and account managers
  • Drive both OEM and distribution sales within the HVAC/R segment
  • Develop and maintain action plans for key OEMs with changing conditions and objectives
  • Coordinate MarCom activities with the marketing department to attract and support distributors including shows, advertising, virtual events, and other online content
  • Obtain and communicate key industry, segment, competitor trends
  • Generate sales and demand forecasts that represent business plans and conditions
  • Travel up to 80%

The ideal candidate possesses these skills
  • Ability to multitask and resolve conflicts in the business.
  • Hands-on CRM process experience software and other common computer software such as MS Office 365, SAP, and Salesforce.
  • Capability to function in a heavily matrixed environment; ability to develop relationships with multiple stakeholders and provide support where needed – able to work in a team environment.
  • 7+ years of B2B, OEM manufacturing experience in sales or other sales support function.
  • Professional, tenacious, and strong, convincing communication skills.
  • Creative thinker and action oriented
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, economics or finance preferred.
