Job Description

Our client is a digitally-centric, data-driven integrated marketing and communications firm on a mission to develop and execute revolutionary business-building ideas that help their clients grow. They are looking to add an Account Manager for their Outdoors division to their team.


Salary: $65,000 - $75,000/YR


Location: This position is entirely remote. Candidates must live in Indiana, Michigan, Virginia, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Tennessee.

This role may require some travel to one of the office locations for business purposes (meetings with clients, stakeholders, etc.).


Responsibilities:

  • Effectively presents, sells, and defends all agency work/proposals to clients; supports other client service team members in these functions.
  • Reviews billing and drafts invoices prior to release to clients; ensures prompt collection of accounts receivable.
  • Informs supervisor regularly of account progress for all assigned clients; involves supervisor immediately in the event of potential problems, i.e., client/agency relations, budget overruns, etc.
  • Oversees execution of approved programs and ensures they are completed on time and on budget.
  • Actively seeks additional projects/new business from client contacts.
  • Handles day-to-day activities for all assigned clients.
  • Regularly checks for and responds promptly to all client communications, including calls and emails.
  • Keeps apprised of the progress of clients' projects through project managers, account coordinators, production and traffic managers, or other relevant personnel.
  • Assists in preparing client invoices, estimates, and proposals, marketing communications and strategic marketing plans, and media, social, and public relations plans.
  • Receives client briefings. Fills out client conference reports for all client meetings and distributes them to appropriate agency personnel. Quickly and accurately relays client changes and/or information to all appropriate agency personnel.
  • Keeps account coordinator/assistant informed of client activities.
  • Keeps apprised of all relevant client, industry, and market developments.
  • Participates in drafting agency blog content and presenting at agency lunch and learns in an effort to share knowledge and collaborate with agency colleagues.
  • Coordinates project timing and budgets with all relevant agency personnel.
  • Checks and approves creative/production materials, copy, layouts, and production art, and coordinates client approval of all materials.
  • Facilitates team meetings


Qualifications:

  • Being proficient with Google Workspace is a plus.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and AdWords, Ads Manager, and Mailchimp.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple team members and clients.
  • 3 + years of account management, ideally at an advertising agency.
  • Must be an outdoor enthusiast (Hunting, Fishing, Hiking Camping, etc.).
  • Experience working with outdoor lifestyle brands (Hunting, Fishing, Hiking Camping, etc.).
