Account Manager (Midwest - Remote)
- Ability to lift products and samples up to 40 lbs without assistance, set up displays and exhibits, and conduct hands-on tool demonstrations, must be able to stand for up to 8 hours and maneuver in tight spaces during demos
- Independent worker, able to organize and manage time effectively
- Mechanical aptitude – must understand basic machine and hydraulic equipment operation and principals
- Experience with Salesforce.com preferred; any CRM experience is helpful
- Willing and able to travel both in- and out-of-state, (via car or plane) up to 40%-50% of the time including weekends and weeks at a time. International travel may be required on occasion.
- Strong Account Management Expertise
- Minimum of five to ten years of proven experience and success in a field sales role, preferably in the off-highway equipment, railroad, or hydraulic tool market
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills on technical subjects with varying sizes of audience
- Demonstrated success in problem solving; must be creative, resourceful and innovative
- Ability to react and make decisions quickly in a fast-paced business environment
- Required knowledge of market practices, competitor’s product and marketing plans
- Ability to negotiate, work and communicate with customers at all levels – from support staff to executive leadership
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study preferred
- Self-motivated with high energy, strong work ethic and a positive attitude with ability to drive growth
- Prepare and submit call and expense reports as required.
- Act as primary point of contact for assigned customers and deliver a world-class customer experience for all things sales, service and support.
- Forecast and develop monthly, quarterly and annual sales account plans and territory plans by state and key targets.
- Attend and participate in company sales meetings, training programs, trade shows, and conventions as directed.
- Comply with all company policies, instructions, and directives for fulfillment of company objectives for maximum profitable sales.
- Maintain knowledge of market practices, competitor’s product and marketing plans and keep management informed.
- Commercialize new product development as deployed.
- Resolve customer issues promptly and maintain good communication between the customer and the Company.
- Utilize and promote technology for dealer self-service.
- Attend and participate in all necessary training related to product, technology (SFDC) and soft skills.
- Maintain and manage company owned assets (ie., laptop computer, cell phone, credit card and other company property.
- Utilize Salesforce.com (SFDC) to capture all sales opportunities, activities, customer contacts, whole good quoting (correct attachment for the right application), order conversion and reporting.
- Deliver the sales goals and growth targets by building long-term relationships with Premier and Premier+ customers, promoting programs and initiatives, and identifying conversion opportunities.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all Infrastructure product lines for customers by conducting regular training and product educations sessions for key accounts.
