Coordinates and manages projects using project management methodologies from inception through completion. Defines and prioritizes project requirements.

Identifies potential problems. Facilitates problem resolution by determining or recommending and implementing a risk mitigation strategy.

Coordinates requests and recommends changes from original specifications with project sponsor, project team, and/or stakeholders.

This position is in the Project Management Office at the SCDMV Headquarters in Blythewood, SC.

Two (2) or more years of experience managing the lifecycle of multiple project

Knowledge of state government procedures and processes.

Knowledge of the agency's mission, strategic goals, and operational programs. Basic understanding of project management principles, and methodologies.

Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification highly desired.

Performs other duties related to project management as assigned.

Two (2) or more years of experience managing the lifecycle of multiple simultaneous projects

Knowledge of state government procedures and processes.

Responsible for managing small to medium size project teams and assisting the Project Manager with the team's assigned projects.

3 to 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Vendor Management, and/or Project Management.

Receiving and verifying acknowledgements confirming product, pricing and shipping information.

Resolving discrepancies with the order, informing the project manager and salesperson on any discrepancies, creating "Cost of Sales" form, if necessary.

Interfacing with factory on order status, current lead times, reservation of manufacturing for future/project orders, specials requirements, C.O.M. requirements, etc.

Communicating with customer on schedule of work, site requirements, and project parameters for deliveries and installations.

Detail orientation and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.

The Project Coordinator may work closely with the client TPMO team, Program Managers and Engineers

Attend and coordinate project meetings (internal and with the client) at the Department Manager’s discretion

Three (3) to five (5) years of applicable experience

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

Knowledge of Project Management Tools Similar to Teamwork/Basecamp

Account or Project Management/Assistant, or Strong Administrative Experience Ideal

Experience in Technology, Marketing or Advertising Industries, in regards to Education or Relevant Work Experience

Manage Communication & Relationships with Clients - Act as Primary Point of Contact

Manage and Supervise Administrative Aspects of Assigned Projects from Kick-Off to Completion

Self Motivated, Experienced and Excellent Communicator; Both Written and Verbal
