Job Description

Project Coordinator

POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator for our Power Delivery Project Services Group I department in Arizona. The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team working closely with Project Management and Production teams on projects of varying size and complexity. The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting, organizing, and maintaining project activities. Travel may be required at the client’s request.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Track, Report, and Submit City Permits per city guidelines
  • Ensuring applicable documents are transferred into ProjectWise
  • Effectively communicate with various project teams and internal work groups
  • Has an intermediate understanding of projects and how they work
  • Working closely with all levels of management and disciplines/departments within POWER; by coordinating and communicating relevant project information to the team
  • Attend and coordinate project meetings (internal and with the client) at the Department Manager’s discretion
  • The Project Coordinator may work closely with the client TPMO team, Program Managers and Engineers
  • Understanding of contracts and construction subcontractor agreements/invoices
  • Tracking project changes (utilizing both in-house and client applications)
  • Providing high-level coordination, administrative and analytic support to the project team
  • Work with Planning/ROW/Permitting to help facilitate the permitting process

Required Education/Experience

  • A self-starter who works independently and as part of a team
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of applicable experience

Desired Education/Experience

  • Certification from AACE or PMI is desirable
  • Desired candidate may have experience working on various-sized projects/programs
  • Experience with Primavera, MS Project, MS Dynamics, and/or ProjectWise
  • Knowledge of Smartsheet and Power BI is desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry-related experience
  • Electrical utilities and power distribution experience is desirable

Ability to Work Remotely

The candidate selected for this position may work remotely full-time at a location other than a POWER Engineers designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a POWER office for periodic meetings.
