Quickly turn around pristine news copy

Own and manage meeting room coordination and room calendar management.

Conduct clerical duties as needed, including general office and supply management.

Have knowledge of the Employee Relations Incentive Budget and ensure the site is tracking to appropriate planning and spend.

Manage and complete expense reports for General Manager, Senior Leader(s) if applicable, and yourself as needed.

Manage complex calendars and scheduling with diplomacy and discretion.

Complete all other support tasks that may arise for day to day as required and as requested by the General Manager.

Requires ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience including seven (7) years of management experience.

Excellent project management and change management skills for designing and implementing high priority.

Ensuring managers and supervisors have the tools necessary to engage their teams in productive conversations around our values and culture

Identifies problem areas and skill gaps proactively and addresses them appropriately.

Proactively collecting stories and examples that represent the best of our culture, to then be shared in a variety of forums

Participate in the development and implementation of system strategy and local entity strategy activation, as appropriate and relevant.

Has at least three years of experience in a people-facing role, managing projects, programs, and internal stakeholders

Has experience managing third party vendors and negotiating contracts

Minimum of 5 years professional journalism experience, largely in the culture and arts space

Ability to lead, inspire, manage and deliver feedback to a team of reporters

Deft writing and editing skills, including the ability to sharpen or rewrite copy with grammatical and style precision under deadline

Sophisticated communication skills, including oral, written, and public speaking

Demonstrated knowledge of complex social and cultural issues

Knowledge of strategies for organization, management, and adult supervision

Three years’ experience in school or education leadership required

Five plus years of broad education and professional experience

Experience in leadership in a Local Education Agency. Charter school experience desirable

Maintain deep knowledge of the Science of Reading, and language and literacy development

Manage student behavior systems in partnership with the school administrative team

Develops and monitors the program's operating and capital improvement budget, and makes presentations to the management team and City Council.

Develops project updates on Arts and cultural accomplishments for City management, community organizations, and the general public.

Plans, organizes, and manages all activities and staff of the Municipal Arts Program for the City of Glendale, Community Services Department.

Develops interpretive and educational plans and programs for arts and cultural sites.

Applies original thinking in approach to job responsibilities and to improve processes, methods, systems or services.

Vacation: 17 days annually, up to 24 days annually based on years of service

Write and report on the biggest cultural stories of the moment

Operate as an integral part of The Cut’s culture vertical as well as NY Mag overall

Collaborate with writers and editors across the magazine on larger sitewide initiatives, packages, theme weeks, newsletters, red-carpet coverage, etc.

Work with and report to the Culture Editor, who oversees our culture vertical

Closely follow cultural trends and celebrity news.

Work with the management and peers to identify opportunities to improve the candidate experience, both in recruitment and onboarding

Perform other responsibilities as assigned which may become essential to the position

Bachelor Degree in HR / business / or related field; or equivalent work experience

Minimum one year of HR experience, preferably within an HR operations team, service provider and/or shared services environment

Knowledge of HR Systems (Workday, Service Now etc.)

Strong verbal/written communication skills, organization skills, detail-oriented, yet able to analyze and recommend alternatives

Project management experience for cultural events or research projects required.
