Continuous Improvement Transportation Manager Jobs

Minimum of 4-5 years work experience in transportation, supply chain and project management

BS/BA required, preferably in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Engineering or related field

Establish and manage continuous improvement strategies and cost saving programs and execute programs to drive advanced automation and cost reduction

Manage outbound transportation projects to improve service, OTIF and to reduce cost

Coordinates and ensures the implementation of programs aimed at process innovation - TPM, Lean Management, Shop Floor, Kaizen, Improvement Ideas System.

Major Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

Lean Six Sigma – Green or Black belt Manufacturing Certification

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Experienced in technical writing or document control support.

Write, revise, and develop continuous improvement related forms and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Ensures existing management infrastructures (i.e. Centerlining, RFS, Leader Standard Work) are interlinked to provide a coherent framework in the Mill

Develops, facilitates, and manages Operational Excellence improvement plans for focus areas

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University Minimum 8 years’ experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Lean and/or Six Sigma environment

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Team Leader in Operations

Experience working at a minimum of 2 different manufacturing facilities

At least 5 years of experience related to continuous improvement or similar project management.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Facilitate a Lean Management System across all facilities, while coaching and mentor the leaders on the tools and disciplines

This position requires full-time onsite management.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Operations or Business Management.

At least 2 years in a supervisory/management capacity.

7 years or more of project management experience, including scope, schedule, and budget.

PMP, Lean Six Sigma certification or related Project Management certification strongly preferred.

Manage work to be performed based on set criteria and apportions the work within the portfolio for execution.

Communicate with stakeholders concerning the content, planning, resource requirements, progress, and status of the project(s) objectives.

Utilize mature oversight and negotiation to manage resources from internal and external organizations or departments to accomplish the work.

Thorough knowledge of Company and Distribution policies and procedures

Knowledge of best practices, industry standards, and current trends related to effective strategic planning and project management.

Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.

Knowledge of data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting methods.

Knowledge of public school organization, administration, and practices.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a timely manner.

Manager, Data and Continuous Improvement

Lead Management Gembas as required

Strong leadership abilities and skills as a team builder, coach and mentor.

Prior experience in continuous improvement initiatives preferred.

Manages Operations Metrics / SQDCI Program

In coordination with Maintenance, and Production to create and manage the TPM program.

Manages cost savings programs, meetings and action lists.

Project Management – Formal training and work experience in managing mid-to-large scale projects.

Diagnose processes, identify waste and work in collaboration with line management to develop proposals for improving performance.

Facilitate Continuous Improvement project teams consistent with the standard Operating Management System.

Change Management – Demonstrated history of successful change implementation and implementing of operational excellence improvements.

Professional Experience – 5 to 10 years total professional experience in a manufacturing environment in progressively responsible roles.

Food or Similar Industry Experience – Experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical or CPG industry in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.

Direct the efficient administration of the department and carry out the management responsibilities of planning, controlling, leading subordinates, and reporting

Conduct management review meetings in accordance with ISO 9000 standards

Maintain ANSI, CSA, etc., certification status

8+ years’ work experience in a Quality function

Experience with molding compounding required; experience with Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) highly desirable

Provide leadership and strategic direction across the Casa Grande Vikrell facility, including occasionally interfacing with our customers

Advanced knowledge of structured problem solving (Black Belt certification preferred or similar experience)

Project management skills including scoping, problem statements, goal definition, and timeline management

Experience leading and influencing a team with common or shared goal, providing direction and coaching for performance and development

Experience with performance metrics and process improvement

3+ years' experience in process optimization, operations, or business management

2+ years of experience in process design and business process reengineering

2+ years of experience with conducting organizational assessments, benchmarking, and delivering verbal and written presentations of operational recommendations for improvement

1+ years of experience delivering high-quality client service in a fast-paced, large, dispersed client sales organization

Knowledge of Six Sigma and related business process re-engineering strategies
