Continuous Improvement Transportation Manager Jobs in Arizona

Coordinates and ensures the implementation of programs aimed at process innovation - TPM, Lean Management, Shop Floor, Kaizen, Improvement Ideas System.

Major Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

Lean Six Sigma – Green or Black belt Manufacturing Certification

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Experienced in technical writing or document control support.

Write, revise, and develop continuous improvement related forms and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Direct the efficient administration of the department and carry out the management responsibilities of planning, controlling, leading subordinates, and reporting

Conduct management review meetings in accordance with ISO 9000 standards

Maintain ANSI, CSA, etc., certification status

8+ years’ work experience in a Quality function

Experience with molding compounding required; experience with Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) highly desirable

Provide leadership and strategic direction across the Casa Grande Vikrell facility, including occasionally interfacing with our customers

Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to set a vision, manage change, develop personnel and strategically plan for continuous improvement

Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary

Must possess strong financial control skills to support plant efforts in successful cost and capital planning performance

Maintain communications with other facilities in sharing "best practices" to drive results and capability development consistency

Coordinate with other functional areas to ensure accomplishment of overall PepsiCo and plant objectives as needed

Understand and apply financial drivers and Key Performance Indicators

2-3 years of experience in process improvement, project management, or other related experience

Five years' experience in process optimization, operations, or business management.

A bachelor's degree in business administration, process management, operations, or related field.

Staying current with skill-set development and new technologies that enhance the ability of the organization to optimize business processes.

This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.

1-2 years of experience leading teams

Minimum of 4-5 years work experience in transportation, supply chain and project management

BS/BA required, preferably in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Engineering or related field

Experience in global business settings with proven ability to manage large cross-functional projects

Manager and leadership training, weekly L&OD webinars, and eLearning offerings

Establish and manage continuous improvement strategies and cost saving programs and execute programs to drive advanced automation and cost reduction

Manage outbound transportation projects to improve service, OTIF and to reduce cost
