SPS Commerce is hiring a Continuous Improvement Manager who will work to identify opportunities for improvement and drive execution of continuous improvement initiatives including service reliability, process efficiencies, organizational velocity, and cost effectiveness via our Operational Readiness program. The Continuous Improvement Manager will use a data driven approach to initiate and measure improvement efforts at SPS Commerce.

What is the day-to-day like?

  • Promote change to instill a continuous improvement culture throughout the organization.
  • Using available data, propose process improvement initiatives to the delivery of key results in areas such as cost-effectiveness, team performance & velocity, service reliability, security of services, etc.
  • Measure, operate and ensure adherence to critical business processes such as Change Management, Incident Management and Operational Confidence
  • Interact with multiple layers of the organization successfully initiating change and demonstrate an ability to influence across delivery teams.
  • Develop and deliver highly effective data analysis and reporting for recurring and ad hoc needs.
  • Demonstrate problem solving and collaboration skills.
  • Operate, present, and manage follow-ups for the SPS Operational Readiness & Confidence Program
  • Demonstrate ability for analyzing and displaying quantitative data for valuable insights.
  • Coordinate and operate solutions to collect and report on business-critical data.

What experience and skills do you need?

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience or 5 years of experience without a degree.
  • Experience driving high impact initiatives across cross multiple teams.
  • Agile and/or Lean
  • Willingness to take risks, challenge status quo and work under ambiguous circumstances.
  • Incident Management
  • DevOps
  • Change Management
  • Ability to understand complex organization processes, take the data and results, and drive towards sights and solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills
  • Ability to influence others, manage difficult situations, and overcome challenges within a service delivery team.
  • Experience and understanding in industry best practices for processes and cultures such as:
    • Agile and/or Lean
    • Change Management
    • Incident Management
    • DevOps
  • Ability to comprehend and work with basic Python programming concepts.

What experience is preferred?

  • Experience writing scripts and functions in Python.
  • 1+ years Data Analysis and Reporting.
  • 1+ years Project Management.
  • 1+ years working across all levels of leadership within an organization.
