Job Description

My name is Eileen and I am a specialty recruiter for the Automotive industry. I am looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager in the northern Durham, NC area for a world-leading global automotive technology company supplying over 90% of the world’s car manufacturers.


Role purpose


The Site Continuous Improvement Leader (SCIL) is part of the Site Leadership Team and have an operational reporting line into the Plant Directors. The role is a Lean Thinker with a very high level of expertise in Lean Transformation which will play a pivotal role in developing the site into a Lean enterprise based upon Automotive’s Lean approach. They will lead, coach, engage and influence their site’s employees and Leadership Team, ensuring rigor and fidelity to the Lean roadmap of Automotive. Perform root cause analysis of production errors, resolve issues, design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance, and build tools to reduce error occurrence.


Requirements:

US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD - NO SPONSORSHIP

• Salary range reflective of a managerial title.


Education: Bachelor's Degree

Lean Certification from a reputable certifying body or benchmark company would be an advantage

Experience: 3-5 years of lean operations experience in a manufacturing environment

Previous and significant experience in Lean Transformation

Automotive or Manufacturing Supply Chain experience

Understanding of basic financial concepts

A track record of Leadership and direction through effective communications and building effective teams
