Job Description

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: CASA GRANDE, AZ

Opportunity

  • Develop database and lead yield enhancement initiatives
  • Direct the efficient administration of the department and carry out the management responsibilities of planning, controlling, leading subordinates, and reporting
  • Lead/champion plant problem solving events & root cause/corrective action activities
  • Continually strive to prevent/reduce claims and warranty
  • Develop organization and associate leadership and technical competencies
  • Drive initiatives that identify and promote the continuous development of direct staff members
  • Plan, organize, and direct all technology activities of Kaizen teams
  • Lead and monitor activities that result in product achieving capability, waste, government/environmental standards
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction across the Casa Grande Vikrell facility, including occasionally interfacing with our customers
  • Effectively lead Quality Assurance and Control functions, including but not limited to:
  • Maintain ANSI, CSA, etc., certification status
  • Support process engineering functions by overseeing the preparation of process documents for designated operations in manufacturing, auditing operations for conformance to established procedures, recommending added or altered process-controls which will improve manufacturing results using techniques such as statistical process control and multivariable design of experiments
  • Schedule and conduct frequent and regular audits of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products, reporting the results and monitoring trends
  • Restrict products from shipment, as necessary, in accordance with established procedures
  • Conduct management review meetings in accordance with ISO 9000 standards
  • Oversee implementation of calibration systems for inspection and process testing procedures/equipment used in manufacturing operations in accordance with ISO 9000 standards
  • Drive warranty and UFR initiatives
  • Work with plant and quality leadership teams to develop forward thinking plans to grow the effectiveness of the Quality System
  • Build and lead a high functioning, engaging, and collaborative Quality team
  • Develop, communicate, and deploy the strategy to include Plant and Product Portfolios
  • Communicate with customers, other plants, and with consumer affairs and field sales, to resolve any reported problems


Skills/Requirements

  • Past results should include successful technical and cross functional leadership on multiple major projects to include facility start-ups/greenfields
  • 8+ years’ work experience in a Quality function
  • Experience with molding compounding required; experience with Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) highly desirable
  • 5+ years’ supervisory experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program, or a PE license; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred

The salary range for this position is $110,050 - $140,200. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
