About the Role
You will bring long term focus to the global HR strategy and people agenda within the Elsevier Health Market business as well as lead the HR agenda for all of Elsevier in North America. Our Health business is made up of over 1800 employees across the Americas, EMEA and APAC all working to shape the future of health and help improve outcomes for every patient. You are there to energize, coach and support in equal amount; to help strategically shape the future organization to deliver the growth and performance outcomes of the business.

Responsibilities
  • Driving the implementation of HR solutions, gaining acceptance from key stakeholders while serving as a change agent across the organization
  • Acting as a business leadership team member to influence and inform business decisions with data-driven insights
  • Designing and shaping the people agenda with a talent and culture focus while also focusing on strategic workforce planning
  • Partnering with COE’s to develop best practice programs and capabilities that enable the business strategy.
  • Leading complex initiatives such as Mergers and Acquisition activities to ensure thorough due diligence and cultural assimilation
  • Being accountable for people strategy that includes organizational design, effectiveness and change, employee engagement, cultural assessment, leadership development, succession readiness and team enablement

Requirements
  • Possess a credible commercial edge enabling you to influence the future direction of the business beyond your functional expertise.
  • Have the ability to implement people priorities associated with significant organizational change and redesign program
  • Understand project management principles and have experience of managing projects to successful conclusion
  • Demonstrate experience of coaching and influencing senior leaders with the ability to negotiate and influence effectively
  • Have exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) and demonstrated change management capability
  • Have proven HRBP related experience, including working in a matrixed, COE-enabled HR organization
  • Show a track record of translating vision, strategies and business requirements into clear, actionable goals
  • Possess the ability to build successful, collaborative relationships quickly with your HR colleagues and the wider organization
