Armanino is looking for a Director to design, develop, implement and lead our outsourced Managed Services delivery model for Corporate Tax departments. In this highly visible and strategic role, the Director will collaborate closely with Armanino senior leadership to build out the Tax Managed Services delivery model and drive process improvement and technology implementation for enhanced managed service delivery. This key P&L leadership role will also work closely with our clients, ensuring high quality support is provided.

Job Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients as the primary point of accountability for service quality, managing and resolving issues that rise above the MSL
  • Manage the health and accuracy of the sales pipeline, working closely with the Growth Office and Solution Architect teams
  • Lead Managed Services Leads (MSLs) as their Performance Coach
  • Serve as the lead Corporate Tax Outsourcing Subject Matter Expert to assist Business Developers and Go-To-Market teams on major pursuits
  • Guide and support the onboarding of new clients including client and staff training, allocation of resources and client work assignments
  • Foster a culture of constant innovation, imagining and championing new processes, automations and services that will establish Armanino as a “best and only” outsourcing service provider
  • Determine, implement and assure relevant capabilities of the appropriate technologies necessary to support outsourced corporate tax delivery
  • Develop harmonious working relationships with the Client Partners/Account Leads and Subject Matter Experts supporting our clients and keeping all informed of progress
  • Anticipate staffing capacity needs in line with future pipeline demand
  • Build growing, effective and efficient teams through communication, the balnce of work, collaboration, and consistency
  • Serve as primary point of contact between Armanino Tax and Outsourcing Departments and maintain open bridges of communication and coordination at all times
  • Manage service line economics, ensuring profitable delivery contracts, appropriate staffing and staff development and liability protection
  • Work closely with internal and external providers to build and scale the offshore and onshore delivery teams as appropriate for current and future business needs
  • Manage client billing and receivables, team time entry and utilization/realization

Requirements
  • 10+ years’ experience in tax planning and compliance; proficient at recognizing and clearly communicating corporate tax implications as business conditions evolve
  • Well-versed and certified in tax preparation software
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Analytical, problem-solving and general tax skills
  • BS in Accounting/Finance or related field experience or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years leadership experience in building and leading outsourcing or managed service infrastructure and teams
