VP, Controller ($250k-$300k)

Responsibilities:

• Direct all aspects of global general accounting operations, including clinical trial accounting, accounts payable, billing and payroll

• Ensure timely monthly closes of the general ledger

• Research, analyze and document technical accounting pronouncements and emerging issues as they pertain to the Company

• Implement/maintain company’s Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance efforts, including the identification, evaluation, design and documentation of the Company’s control environment and related controls test plan.

• Responsible for global consolidation and intercompany accounting and eliminations, revenue and cost accounting

• Lead GAAP and IFRS compliance for areas of accounting complexity including revenue, leases and R&D contracts

• Coordinate the Company’s tax reporting function ensuring timely and accurate regulatory filings

• Direct, manage and coordinate annual audits with both external corporate auditors and other audits

• Partner with procurement to optimize procure-to-pay policies, processes and systems

• Partner with FP&A for internal reporting, R&D accruals and revenue recognition, budgets, forecasts and special projects

Candidates must have:

• A BA/BS in Accounting/Finance

• At least 10 years of relevant financial accounting experience

• Experience at the corporate controller level

• A CPA with “big four” experience and public biotechnology or biopharmaceutical company experience

• The ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment

• Strong problem-solving, time management, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills

• A thorough understanding of technical accounting pronouncements, particularly as they relate to revenue recognition and stock option accounting

• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, NetSuite/ERP and Equity Edge
