Our manufacturing client is seeking a VP of OPs to join their Addison, IL team!

About the role:
The VP of Operations will be managing the day-to-day operations of all the different groups within the business. The 5 main groups this role with oversee are Accounting, Engineering, Production, Quality, and Sales. Each of these departments has a head that will be hands-on with managing the indirect reports for this position. They have a Head of Accounting that makes the major decisions within the department. However, they mostly outsource a lot of their accounting work to a firm instead of having a full onsite accounting team. The quality department they wouldn’t even need to keep big tabs on as this is the most self-sufficient of the departments. That being said, the three major departments this role will be spending the majority of the time managing are Engineering, Production, and Sales. Every year and quarter the company will have set revenue goals and profit goals this candidate will be pushing the company to hit. They will need to have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to go the extra mile to hit goals.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Experience in Senior leadership at a small manufacturing company
- A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or master’s degree in a business-related or management field is ideal.
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a must.
- Looking for someone driven to meet quarterly and annual financial goals.
- Industry experience working in the RF, PCB, or electronics industry would be a huge plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in a C-Level or high-level Operations role would be ideal.
- Experience overseeing Directors of multiple departments such as Accounting, Sales, Production, Engineering, and Quality
- Experience managing and overseeing an operation of 20 salaried employees and 50 hourly employees.
- Intangibles: Having strong leadership capabilities and being able to motivate a team. Also, having excellent verbal and written communication abilities will be a must.
