- Partnering with Sales and Retail teams, as well as our Professional Services Group, to support the needs of educators
- Participating in local, state and national conferences to promote the Lakeshore brand
- Providing Sales Managers with details on all significant bids, RFPs, projects, competitor data, industry trends, customers and events in their territory
- Pursuing relationships with city, county and state government officials, school administrators and community-based organizations to support cutting-edge learning environments for children
- Helping form and modify sales strategies, provide recommendations and coach team members
- Planning selling activities on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure maximum available selling time
- Collaborating with managers to delegate tasks and responsibilities to project team members
- Regularly working across departments, including with the Executive Leadership team
- Attending bid openings
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:

- Background/network in education furniture sales or elementary, middle or high school education a plus
- Ability to travel as needed within the country, including overnight stays, to identify nuances of current/emerging markets and to provide training; more than 50% travel expected
- Great attention to detail
- Previous sales or design experience in furniture or related industry preferred; existing relationships with architects, designers and end users in this area will be helpful
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in Sales Management; or equivalent work experience
- Located in: Kansas City, Denver, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas/Houston or St. Louis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills
