Position Overview
An experienced sales leader with a strong background in food service and/or K12. You will manage and develop a top-tier, established sales team with national distribution. You will be responsible for executing a winning strategy that leverages sales analytics, builds new client relationships, and drives revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success with major accounts, successful broker management, and forging strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and provide regular reports to the executive team on sales performance.
- Build and mentor a high-performing sales team in a way that fosters trust and empowers individuals to achieve excellence in performance and development.
- Identify growth opportunities, emerging market trends, and competitive activity to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and execute the overall sales strategy in alignment with the company's business objectives and revenue targets.
- Monitor sales metrics and pipeline to identify opportunities for sales optimization.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure cohesive execution of sales initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and brokers to expand market share and drive revenue growth.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of the K12/foodservice industry, including key players, distribution channels, and market dynamics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel.)
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving revenue growth, and leading successful sales teams.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales data to make strategic decisions.
- Ability to travel to customer sites, trade shows, sales events, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the foodservice industry.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and industry partners.
