Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is passionate about providing exceptional health care to all, especially underserved communities with limited health care options. Job Roles
  • Develops dashboards reflecting programmatic, financial, team and personnel goals. Develop and cascade those goals into a quantifiable evaluation system, with monthly “scorecards", to facilitate full transparency and ensure attainment of employee goals is a priority.
  • Applies data analysis in assessing program performance, justifying program modifications and expansions and program evaluation.
  • Responsible for overseeing all marketing and census development activities for PACE Program with the goal of meeting enrollment targets through community engagement and nurturing referral streams from FCHSD primary care.
  • Develops and directs the successful implementation of an array of Older Adult programs designed to meet the needs of FHCSD’s elderly population.
  • Applies systems thinking when developing and maturing programs so that synergies with FHCSD clinical and administrative programs are achieved.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with all state and federal program requirements, obtaining and maintaining certification under CMS and California Department of Health Care Services regulations, guidelines and laws.
  • Responsible for overseeing the hiring, training, and development of multiple interdisciplinary teams across several physical locations and ensuring the consistency of processes and procedure across those locations.
  • Provides effective representation of FHCSD in the community through interactions with partners, funders, policy makers, and community groups. Build and maintain linkages to ensure effectiveness of programs and services.
  • Ensures FCHSD clinicians are educated on Older Adult Services and PACE with the objective that Older Adult Services and PACE are viewed as a valuable resource.
  • Ensures a robust quality assurance program is in place for the PACE program where outcome measures are benchmarked to applicable industry standards.
  • Responsible for the oversight and administration of PACE Program to include effective planning, organization, administration and evaluation.
  • Develops a strong culture that insists on high standards for quality of care, supportive of patient or participant satisfaction, applies data-driven decision making, and results in low employee turnover.
  • Build positive relationships, inspire others to perform at a higher level, and retain an accountable workforce.
  • Responsible for the financial accountability and viability of the PACE Program.
  • Responsible for ensuring that decisions about medical, social and supportive services for PACE participants are made appropriately, based on need, and not unduly influenced by fiscal management.
Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations
  • Ability and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County, to locations that may have limited access to public transportation; proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Age 21; Licensed for a minimum of 3 years; No violations and/or accidents within 3 years; No vehicle related suspensions/reinstatements; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving within 7 years.
  • Master’s level education in healthcare administration or business administration.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the skills, knowledge and ability to perform the essential job duties, and which meets any required state or federal certification requirements.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience with long term managed care preferably in a capitated setting.
Experience/Specialized skills (including Language)
  • Excellent track record at working within teams; knowledgeable of LEAN strategies, implementation, benefits.
  • Extremely proficient in the conceptualization, development and utilization of IT to support integration and maximize patient/client experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly assess and respond to healthcare market changes, and implement and plan organizational responses.
  • Extremely fluent in Microsoft Suite and other software programs necessary for tracking, performance, reporting.
  • Prior experience working in an executive leadership position in a multi-disciplinary setting.
  • Strong operations leadership experience with multiple locations (locally).
  • Strong personnel and health care financial management skills.
  • Skills to optimize relationships with other organizations and programs.
  • Experience managing large-scale budgets, forecasting/capitalizing on market changes.
  • Prior experience working with PACE programs is ideal; strong experience working with the elderly population in a healthcare setting.

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
