About The Role


Cockroach Labs is looking for a Senior Vice President, Global Solutions & Services. As a key member of the GTM leadership team, you will be responsible for driving customer success with our products and services through leading our sales engineering, professional services and customer success teams. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a successful track record and a passion for growing highly-scalable teams at high-growth, pre-IPO companies. As a key, customer-facing leader, you will be expected to diligently collect customer needs and then partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Product, and Engineering to ensure the voice of the customer is heard and making its way into product and GTM strategy.


You Will


  • Provide thought leadership and direction to the Solutions & Service teams to ensure delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
  • Lead and manage the sales engineering, customer success, and customer support teams to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and growth
  • Hire, lead and develop a world-class team passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase customer technical team engagement and drive adoption of our products and services through compelling demonstrations, successful engagement and reliable support.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and alignment with customer needs.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction at every touchpoint and implement processes to address customer concerns and issues.


You Have


  • Extensive experience scaling services organizations globally with the ability to build and manage high-performing teams
  • Proven track record of driving customer satisfaction, retention, and growth
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years as a senior leader of sales engineering, professional services, and/or customer success organizations.
  • 15-20+ years experience in customer facing technology roles, with extensive experience in high-growth SaaS organizations


The Expectations


In your first 30 days, you will immerse yourself in our market, product, and sales processes. You will also begin to build relationships with various individuals and teams at Cockroach Labs to build trust and establish connections.


After 3 months, you will be fully integrated into the team. You will be an active partner to our GTM leaders and will have begun initiating new projects and processes around Sales Engineering & Customer Success performance, enablement, and operations.


The Team


Reporting to Jason Forget, President and Chief Revenue Officer


Jason is responsible for Cockroach Labs revenue growth while building and scaling all customer facing functions. He is a seasoned go-to-market leader with a track record of building global go-to-market teams and driving explosive revenue growth. Over the past twenty years he has served in several global sales, marketing, customer success, support, and operations executive leadership positions in private and public technology companies.

The annual anticipated base salary range for U.S. candidates for this role is USD $217,000 to $322,000, plus commission if a sales role. We set standard ranges for all U.S.-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Actual salaries may vary and fall outside of this range depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, geographic location, skills, experience, and competencies. In addition, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. Salary is one component of the Cockroach Labs’ total rewards package, which includes stock options, health insurance, life and disability insurance, funds towards professional development resources, flexible PTO, paid holidays, and parental leave, to name a few! Salaries for candidates outside the U.S. will vary based on local compensation structures.
