Vice President Of Technology Operations

The Opportunity:

The VP, Technology Operations is responsible for owning and driving the efficacy and performance of the operations oriented technology systems and teams. This role will primarily be responsible for the Business Systems, IT/Security, and BI/Data platforms. This Leader will develop a deep understanding of the Venus et Fleur business and will have a dramatic impact on the day-to-day performance and long-term growth trajectory. He or she will lead all reporting, goal setting, the evaluation of new features and technologies and work closely with the C-suite as well as cross functional business partners in Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance.

This is a significantly impactful role for a Visionary leader in a fast moving and rapidly growing branded e-commerce environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the:
• Formulate long term technology vision and strategy that delivers practical competitive advantage by delivering Operational Efficiency and Real-Time insights

1. Business Systems team, responsible for the ERP, Production, WMS and Supply Chain Visibility tools.
2. Data engineering and Business Insights team, supporting business partners in Finance, Marketing, Merchandising & Planning as well as Product Development to gather and surface business insights that drive competitive advantage
3. Corporate IT Security and Infrastructure teams, responsible for Enterprise applications, IT policies, onboarding, networking infrastructure and internal service desk

• Maintains strong relationships with all Business Units meeting service level requirements and resolving service delivery issues across the Brand.
• Creates a strong emphasis on ‘measurable activity’ and ensures SLA and KPI objectives are met.
• Act as an integral part of the Company Leadership team representing the Technology Department.
• Thought leader, evangelist and change agent for all tools and platforms that support and influence the Back Office infrastructure services function. Responsible for identifying opportunities within the department to create efficiencies through the smart introduction of tool sets and technology services.
• Partner with the marketing and merchandising teams to manage the Product Launch calendar to ensure successful warehouse & production processes.
• Monitor the competitive landscape, examine strategies of best-in-class retailers and keep up to date with industry research to identify emerging trends and make recommendations
• Be the Technical and Process expert who will provide thought leadership and drive execution excellence in ensuring that all support and delivery processes and workflows are consistent with VeF’s business policy and expectations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, technology or a related field or commensurate experience preferred
• In Business Systems such as ERPs, WMS, Manufacturing, SC, and Finance tools are preferred.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
• Well versed in Shopify Commerce platform (and supporting apps) and eco-systems
• Interactions, interpreting data, user experience, and design problems
• Extensive experience in scaling E- Commerce, preferably with branded, luxury sites
• 3-5 years' experience in E-Commerce Operations, or operationally related field required, including but not exclusively
• You must be energetic, inventive, a self-starter, and a team player that thrives off of finding solutions to complex
• 10+ Years in Technical leadership capacity
• Ability to offer strategic advice and recommendations that drive results
