- Activating the Smoothie King vision and mission, as well as leading the development and implementation of short- and long-term strategic, operational, and financial marketing plans and calendar.
- Build and establish crisis management process to address consumer, brand, operations, and industry challenges that may arise.
- Support the company's brand transformation efforts by building brand advocacy internally through change communications, executive communications, enterprise and business unit storytelling and other communications efforts, helping to create excitement for the future and a sense of unity across all associates.
- Deliver a variety of strategic communications deliverables best suited to drive holistic adoption of the brand transformation.
- Collaborates with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization.
- Partner effectively across the organization and with key stakeholders to align communications to broader enterprise content.
- Advance strategic communications plan focused on communicating the company's branding efforts as part of its overall journey story.
- Work closely with Brand Marketing team in developing consumer communication plans across paid media channels.
- Lead the development of communications plans, materials, and activities to advance the company's branding efforts and connect these efforts to the company's purpose, mission, strategy, culture and values.
- Manage brand positioning/strategy across internal and external communication platforms, media and industry outlets to ensure a consistent brand voice across all touchpoints.
- Develop a cohesive message platform and compelling internal communications that effectively demonstrate how these efforts will further support achievement of the enterprise strategy of becoming a lifetime, trusted health partner.
- Manage complex communications initiatives that intersect talent, employee engagement, culture, and corporate responsibility.
- Being a champion of the company's Mission, Vision, and Core Values in dealings with team members and external partners and stakeholders.
- Develop recommendations on associate engagement and ambassador-building tactics, to bring associates along in the journey.
- Lead PR agency selection process as well as agency on-boarding process. Serve as point of contact for 3rd party Public Relations agencies, as well as media inquiries.
- Identify awareness gaps and proactively develop communications solutions to increase understanding and adoption.
- Integrate communication and change management plans to support the branding effort; ensure associate feedback is incorporated into the go-forward strategy.
- Develops, implements, and adheres to communications budget.
- Provide insight and guidance on critical internal communications content around issues including but not limited to; hybrid work, DEI, ESG, transformation, innovation initiatives, etc.
- Develop communications and PR strategy to support company’s growth plans, enhance brand awareness and elevate brand positioning across media outlets, publications, and industry newsletters.
- Promote the culture, values, and mission of Smoothie King.
- A demonstrated ability to build relationships and earn the trust of all levels of employees and management.
- Strong business acumen skills.
- Ability to write about complex concepts in easy-to-understand language and distill messaging to reach a diverse internal audience.
- Experience in large, complicated matrixed organizations; ability to navigate through ambiguous situations with little direction.
- Ability to lead a team effectively by driving work output, performance and promoting a positive and nurturing work culture.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to plan and set priorities to achieve business objectives.
- Experience working across multiple media outlets, with strong relationships across publishing and broadcast outlets.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Personal passion for health and fitness is a plus.
- Minimum ten (10) – fifteen (15) years of experience as a creative storyteller, copywriter, and content creator with an understanding of corporate brand tonality and how to convey messages.
- Well-developed public relations, brand communications and consumer marketing experience, with demonstrated success in developing PR and comms strategies for a lifestyle brand.
- Experience working with an integrated calendar, go to market creative, media plans, production, and advertising.
