This position reports directly to the Global ADE President and leads all the technical and compliance support functions for the global ADE business, which includes NA, the UK and France. The priorities for this position include engineering team management for the maintenance of equipment at multiple sites and engineering project management for the specification, design and execution of heat treatment facilities. The role also includes the requirement for strategic planning & implementation, quality assurance and problem resolution. The successful candidate must work closely with the multiple VPs of Operations to understand operational needs and prioritize appropriately to meet the needs of the business across the division’s global footprint.

Major Responsibilities

• Leads projects for equipment and facility installations
• Provide guidance to all divisional regions in order to meet current OSHA and European standards and environmental standards in coordination with the global SHE organization
• Manages compliance to preventative maintenance systems and procedures
• Ensures current and accurate costing, including estimate to completions, regarding capital spend in conjunction with finance
• Provides expertise in the areas of engineering project management, equipment specifications, process flow and building layout. Ideally experienced in the use of heat treatment furnaces and metal component washing equipment.
• Interface with equipment manufacturers and vendors in order to maintain a positive working relationship and remain current on new equipment capabilities and technology advancements
• Recommends methods, materials and layouts for improvement based on plant needs and capabilities
• Builds, develops and manages engineering teams capable of carrying out engineering initiatives based on operational needs
• Oversees the transportation department through transportation managers ensuring we have proper route planning and meet Department of Transportation standards in the U.S. as well Canadian Transportation standards for NA ADE & NA AGI
• Must be willing to travel overnight up to 50% based on business needs
• Ensures consistency and compliance in quality departments across our global plants which includes supporting certifications such as NADCAP, AS 9100, CQI9, TS 16949, etc. while working with operational Regional Quality Managers
• Develops and directs procedures for project management, capital planning and reporting along with methods to ensure quality and financial standards are met and maintained

We Are Seeking Candidates With The Following Qualifications

• Proven track record of successfully working across different countries and cultures in a matrix organization; intercultural working experience
• Must have or be willing to obtain Six Sigma Black Belt
• Experience in optimizing highly complex business processes and work flows to improve efficiency across the organization
• Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Master’s degree preferred
• Experience centralizing and developing support functions, building new departments and leading change successfully
• This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder
• Must have demonstrated relevant experience in planning & local execution on a global scale
