Position Overview:

As the Vice President of Information Technology (VP IT), you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic planning, development, implementation, and management of all aspects of the organization's information technology infrastructure. This role requires a visionary leader who can align IT initiatives with business objectives, drive innovation, and ensure the security and efficiency of the company's technology systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic IT Leadership:

- Develop and execute the organization's IT strategy, in alignment with business goals and objectives.

- Provide strategic guidance on technology investments, ensuring they support long-term growth and operational excellence.

- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.

2. IT Infrastructure Management:

- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and telecommunications systems.

- Ensure the security, availability, and scalability of IT systems, implementing robust cybersecurity measures and disaster recovery plans.

- Establish and maintain IT policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.

3. Team Leadership and Development:

- Build and lead a high-performing IT team, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.

- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the IT department.

- Promote effective cross-functional collaboration between IT and other departments, ensuring IT solutions meet business requirements.

4. Vendor Management:

- Oversee relationships with external technology vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.

- Evaluate vendor proposals and make informed recommendations on technology investments and partnerships.

5. Budgeting and Resource Allocation:

- Develop and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective procurement of technology solutions.

- Monitor and report on IT performance metrics, providing regular updates to executive leadership on IT initiatives, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the IT field.

- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic IT plans that align with business objectives.
