The Vice President of Client Experiences Product Development will lead the engineering teams responsible for the strategy, architecture, design, and delivery of a set of platforms, capabilities, and tools to modernize the client experience at Visa, unifying, digitizing, and automating client onboarding and servicing experiences across the company.


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead a global organization with technology hubs in Bangalore, Poland and multiple North American sites and be responsible for the development and growth of this global organization.
  • Reduce client time to value, and the overall number of interoperable tools and systems. Unification of tools, digitization of documentation, automating workflows and more, with a goal of building Net Promoter Score (NPS) for clients of all types and sizes, and reducing time to revenue.
  • Define the architectural vision for the division, leads the build out of target state architectures for existing platforms.
  • Directly responsible for delivery of a set of capabilities and tools to modernize the client experience.
  • Oversee an engineering organization that works closely with Product and Client Services teams at Visa to reimagine the client service delivery experience for all of Visa’s products and services.
  • Bring deep technical and architecture knowledge and experience to the role. Highly experienced in best practices and patterns related to API design and system / application architecture. Directly drives adoption of architectural process / practices and governance that ensures a best-in-class platform. Utilizes prior experience and knowledge to ensure platforms can deliver to Visa's high bar on Operational and Cybersecurity requirements.
  • Work directly and closely with cross functional stakeholder team to develop multi-year strategic outlook plans, instrumental in defining solutions for large / complex opportunities/challenges.
  • Drive transformation by being an advocate for our clients, extending focus from building siloed services, products, and solutions where client experiences are an afterthought, to one where client experiences are deliberately engineered and designed, where we deliver streamlined experiences for our clients.
  • Lead the engineering teams responsible for the architecture, design, and development of a new set of platforms, services and tools that increase employee efficiency both for our clients as well as Visa through digitizing processes, workflows and devising smart experiences.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.


Qualifications
  • 12 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred qualifications
  • Deep knowledge of testing methodologies, beginning with functional testing through to integrated and end-to-end testing and certification.
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement to organization’s results (quality of code deployed to and running in production) based on refining, re-tooling, and upgrading test and certification processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated passion for running horizontal support functions – and ability to balance aggressive product development aspirations with quality and integrity validation. Must be able to deal with healthy tension, push back on peer product development leaders effectively.
  • Deep knowledge of process automation, workflow management, and modernizing system integrations.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with building systems software in domains that deliver high throughput and low latency (high TPS) with 5 9’s availability. Demonstrated understanding of design, architecture, and operational characteristics of highly available and scalable systems.
  • 15+ years relevant work experience, 10+ years of technical leadership experience and 10+ years of people management experience.
  • Thorough understanding of and experience with the software development cycle, particularly related to enabling continuous integration and delivery capabilities that lead to clean, high-quality releases.
  • Bachelors or Masters with a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math).
  • Must be a natural collaborator, with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. The individual must be disciplined and comfortable with ambiguity, possessing the maturity and capability to interact and influence across multiple levels and organizations internal and external to Visa.
  • Must exhibit relevant and consistent leadership behaviors in team management, customer communications and internal interactions with peers, senior management, and clients to exert influence and build relationships.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 218,200.00 to 300,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
