Travel Chief Nursing Officer (Cno)

The Travel Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operations of the Nursing Department while providing leadership, guidance, and direction to all Nursing staff. The role assumes 24/7 responsibility and has accountability to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care. The CNO represents nursing concerns on the governing board and at medical staff leadership meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related OR a written plan to obtain such qualifications approved by the Corporate CNO and the hospital CEO, unless a higher degree is required by the state.
• Current BLS certification essential; ACLS preferred.
• Current RN licensure appropriate to state regulations (unrestricted) required.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience
• Master’s degree in nursing or related field preferred.
• Five or more years of experience in an inpatient hospital setting essential.
• Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing
• Five or more years of experience in Neuro, Ortho, or Medical Surgical
• CNO Experience Required

Two or more years of recent (within the last five years) nursing management experience, including responsibilities such as 24-hour accountability, FTE management; policy, procedure and budgetary oversight; and conduction of disciplinary action required.
