We do this by offering services, such as airport pickups, holiday hosting, temporary housing, conversation partnerships, and social events and trips. Our home office is based in Columbus, OH, and this position can be a work-from-home position from elsewhere in the U.S.

Expected Work Schedule For The Chief Development Officer

• Attendance at several conferences each year, including IFI Staff Retreats
• Full- or part-time, flexible schedule
• Occasional evenings and/or weekends for specific events/projects

Pay Structure For a Chief Development Officer

• Pay range is $67,000 - $137,000 after the period of support development, based on experience and other factors
• Requires the development of a ministry partner team which supplies the necessary prayer and some of the financial support needed to cover salary, benefits, and ministry expenses
• Training is provided to develop a team of ministry partners

Responsibilities Of a Chief Development Officer

The overall role of the Chief Development Officer is to oversee and manage fundraising strategies on national and local levels, including meeting with donors, planning events, coordinating appeals, ensuring database information is accurate, and adhering to financial accountability standards. They will bring substantial knowledge and a successful track record of planning, and implementing fundraising strategies and manage a team focused on fundraising for the organization.

The Chief Development Officer Will (list Not All Inclusive)

• Develop a Ministry Partner Team that will provide prayer and financial support for the budgeted needs, including pay, of the role and sending out a ministry newsletter to partners
• Set up rules of engagement between donors to the national, local, and staff support fundraising levels
• Develop a culture of generosity and transformational giving
• Provide general oversight of all of the organization's development activities
• Implement multiple strategies as part of the fundraising plan
• Utilize moves management to shepherd constituents through the cultivation cycle (qualification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship)
• Work with the Board, IFI campus ministry leaders, staff members, volunteers and other friends of IFI to, network, share and develop relationships with potential donors

Qualifications/expectations Of The Chief Development Officer

• Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies, as well as ECFA Standards practiced by IFI
• A competent development tactician, an excellent organizational development expert with excellent attention-to-detail
• Godly character that follow the examples defined in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1
• Exhibits a positive, professional manner, is a self-starter, able to work independently
• Team-building experience & experience in working with multicultural teams and enjoys encouraging and helping others succeed
• Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applications

Chief Development Officer Required Education/Experience

• Experience with donor acquisition, Building and maintaining a monthly recurring giving program, Understanding of Marketing Automation
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in fundraising or demonstrated equivalent experience
• Experience with Salesforce, nonprofits (specifically Christian ministries) are a plus
• 5 years of experience supervising a team and driving strategic initiatives
