Ecoplexus is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transmission Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical transmission systems and be able to work on projects related to the development and construction of renewable energy projects. The position, which reports to the Director of Transmission and Interconnection, is an ideal starting point for individuals seeking to acquire knowledge, make meaningful contributions, gain hands-on experience, and advance their careers to the next level.

Responsibilities:

• Use programming skills in Python to automate and streamline data preparation and modeling processes
• Review and audit utility interconnection studies
• Assist in the preparation of transmission studies and interconnection application packages
• Coordinate with Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs) and Transmission Utilities (TUs) to acquire transmission modeling data and other information
• Analyze transmission system to determine potential locations to site renewable energy projects
• Conduct research related to transmission, provide technical assistance, perform due diligence, and handle various other related tasks.
• Develop and maintain transmission system models using power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld, etc.)
• Collaborate with other internal functional teams
• Review and provide feedback on transmission interconnection agreements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferably in Power Systems
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience with power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, PSLF, etc.)
• Foundational understanding of electrical transmission systems and technology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Python programming and experience with Python libraries for power systems analysis and modeling
