Manufacturing Test Engineer Jobs

Essential Functions:

• Ability to develop and interpret test requirements and identify test equipment required to meet those requirements
• Collaborate with Production Engineers and Supervisors to integrate test systems into the production process
• Experience related to manufacturing Printed Circuit Board Assemblies
• Support Root Cause Analysis of field return issues and implement additional test coverage as needed
• Provide ongoing support for existing products related to ECOs, yield issues, reliability improvements, and other continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in peer reviews of test solutions
• Analyze test performance data and use production personnel input to drive test improvements opportunities
• Written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal project stakeholders
• Manage project scopes and timelines and coordinate initiatives with Project Managers
• Experience interpreting MySQL database schema and writing database queries
• Ability to identify, assess, and resolve hardware and software issues
• Demonstrate the ability to develop hardware and software for production test solutions
• Develop software (NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand and C#) to control test instruments and Units Under Test in order to meet product test requirements
• Compile and interpret Gage R&R and Cpk studies
• Create documentation describing test design concepts and operator instructions
• Quote, Design, and Develop manufacturing test solutions for New Product Introduction

• Work Environment This job operates in a fast-paced manufacturing and professional office environment.
• Experience developing tests for RF devices (i.e. Cellular, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi)
• Decision Making and Problem Solving able to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; able to use reason, even when dealing with emotional topics.
• Experience working with vehicle communication bus protocols (i.e. CAN, LIN, J1939)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrate working knowledge of MSA, 6, SPC, root cause analysis, and lean manufacturing, and general PC skills to include Microsoft Office, G Suite (Google Apps).
• Professionalism: able to maintain professionalism while dealing with frequent change, delays, multiple customers and different departments.
• This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
• Require the ability to effectively communicate, both in writing and verbally, with people of various educational and technical backgrounds.
