Telehealth Triage Nurse - Remote | Wfh

Role Responsibilities
Offer prompt and accurate telephone triage and medical advice, empowering callers to make informed decisions about their health.
Apply clinical judgment and protocols to determine appropriate care and ensure timely assistance.
Maintain comprehensive and confidential electronic medical records, while delivering clear and concise information to patients during encounters.
Engage as an attentive listener, documenting critical clinical data and making independent decisions to ensure optimal patient care.
Collaborate with a dedicated team to record telephone encounters and ensure adherence to company standards.
Shifts And Scheduling
Enjoy the flexibility of various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet operational needs.
Highest operational need is during weekend afternoons on both Saturday and Sunday.
Note: Permanent overnight positions are currently filled, but opportunities may arise based on seniority and availability.
Expectations Of Nurse
Maintain a private, HIPAA-compliant home office with reliable high-speed internet connectivity (wired/ethernet recommended).
Provide your own computer equipment, including a computer or laptop, second monitor, keyboard, mouse, wired headset, and high-speed internet.
Participate in staff meetings via telephone or video to foster collaboration.
Demonstrate full compliance with FONEMED policies, procedures, and HIPAA privacy requirements.
Offer dedicated, undivided attention to patients during calls.
Qualifications And Experience
Completion of a recognized Nursing program.
Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, ideally in areas such as ER/Urgent Care, Adult, Pediatric, OB/GYN, Orthopedic, Ambulatory Care, Home Health, or ICU.
Active RN license in CA and your home state; additional licenses in states such as AK, PA, NY, OR, and WA are valuable assets.
Previous experience in telephone triage using electronic triage software and medical protocols is advantageous.
Familiarity with Barton Schmitt/David Thompson guidelines is beneficial.
Strong communication and clinical assessment skills.
Proficiency in Windows environment, keyboarding, and computer literacy.
Fluency in English/Spanish or another language is a plus.
